Backing Metcalfe challenger

As Robin Redding launched her campaign to unseat state Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, she talked about the timing of the Strike Free Education Pact, she talked about the impact of the illegal immigration on the 12th District, the need to reduce the size of government in Pennsylvania, and the need to refurbish local infrastructure.
These are political issues. They are what a campaign should be about.
The response was vintage Daryl. He belittled Robin’s motivation for running as sour grapes, accusing her of betraying a friendship.
In other words, Metcalfe avoided the issues and went right for the personal body slam.
This is the same Daryl Metcalfe who tried awhile back to purify the Butler GOP by purging anyone who ever had a nonDarly thought.
Until the Jan. 24 Butler Eagle landed, Robin Redding was a total stranger to me. Given the other day’s exchange, I’ll be watching her closely, but she’ll have to do something pretty awful to lose my vote.
